With all of the choices available for senior housing, how do you know which option is right for you? There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the difference in independent senior living (such as The Beck) and assisted living.
Independent senior communities (like The Beck) are structured for seniors who are looking for an environment that allows them the freedom to enjoy their senior years without the day to day management of a home and all its responsibilities. Individuals living at The Beck can be as private or as social as they want to be. Your privacy is respected at all times, yet your neighbor is never far away.
In comparison, assisted living is designed for those who require a little extra help to handle supervision of medications, special health concerns and assistance with day-to-day living needs. These facilities provide assistance 24 hours a day, three meals a day, laundry services, transportation and medication management. Activities and events are included, however the cost usually reflects the need for care.
That’s the Cherokee Regional Medical Center difference.
