Visitation

Cherokee Regional Medical Center is committed to provide an environment that provides for the health and expedites the recovery of patients who are hospitalized. Creating such a climate requires a delicate balance of safety, comfort and social considerations. The hospital recognizes that changes in an individual’s health status result in a variety of life stresses that create a need for close association with others who are important to the individual.

Visits will take place in patient’s rooms or designated family rooms and must not interfere with other patients or hospital staff. Any children brought to the hospital should be attended by an adult.

The medical, surgical areas have recommended visiting hours between 12:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Obstetrics allows spouses, siblings of any age, and grandparents to visit at any time. Visitors will follow established Cherokee Regional Medical Center isolation policies and procedures. As a general guideline, the number of visitors is limited to two at a time.

*For protection of our patients, if you have any of the following symptoms, please wear a mask and use alcohol hand wash before entering the hospital or clinics:

  • Runny/Stuffy Nose
  • Body Aches
  • Headache

  • Fatigue

Only immediate family without any of the listed symptoms are allowed in obstetrics. Immediate family includes parents and grandparents of the newborn, siblings of the newborn, aunts and uncles of the newborn.

Family Room

Cherokee Regional Medical Center recognizes the importance of family and friends in the healing process of our patients. A comfortable family room is located on the 3rd floor for visitors to use 24 hours a day. It is located just down the hall from the nurse's station. There are two rooms, separated by french doors, for added privacy if needed.

This family room allows family members and friends to stay close to their loved ones without having to be right in the room with them. Coffee is available and a kitchenette provides a place to eat comfortably. Cable TV is also available in both rooms.

This room was made available by donations in the memory of Krista A. Johnson, the CRMC Auxiliary and Cherokee Regional Medical Center.

Your Place. For Exceptional Care.

That’s the Cherokee Regional Medical Center difference.
