To make your visit to Cherokee Regional's campus easier to navigate through our construction project, we have created a parking map.
A Parking Lot Patient Shuttle service will be offered for those needing extra assistance. The free patient shuttle service will be available Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5pm by calling 712.221.0038 once on campus (please do not call to schedule with the shuttle).
Due to Sioux Valley Drive road construction, you may be required to take a different route to your destination on Cherokee Regional's campus.
To access The Beck, please use the Sioux Valley Drive entrance at Roosevelt Ave. There will not be access to the hospital or Fitness Center from this entrance.
To access the Cherokee Medical Clinic, please use the Sioux Valley Drive entrance at 1st Street. There will not be access to the hospital or Fitness Center from this entrance.
To access the Cherokee Fitness Center, please use the Comstock Drive entrance at 1st Street.
To access the Emergency Department and other departments within the hospital, please use the Comstock Drive entranace at 1st Street.
Sioux Valley Drive Closed to Thru Traffic During Construction
Cherokee Regional has been working on an exterior master site plan with the help of Beck Engineering (Cherokee, Iowa). The redesign will allow us to offer additional parking, as well as easily accessible, ADA-compliant parking near our main entrance, Construction is set to begin on May 24, 2022.
Exterior Parking Project Highlights…
Parking spaces will be added in front of the Main Entrance
Leveling the main entrance parking area and eliminating curbs, etc.
Center-open sliding doors at the Main Entrance
Parking in front of True Building - which houses our Foot & Ankle Clinic and Senior Life Solutions
12 new parking spots will be added directly in front of the True Building
Additional parking will be created on the East and West Sides of the Fitness Center
This project will produce a designated pathway through campus along Comstock Drive to Sioux Valley Drive
Anticipated completion of phase one of the project is approximately 60-90 days
What does this mean for patients and visitors?
Effective Tuesday, May 24: Sioux Valley Drive will be closed to thru traffic during construction
The Main Entrance by the Specialty Clinic will be closed during this first phase of this project
Patients and visitors will need to enter through the Emergency Entrance
For additional assistance, a parking lot patient shuttle service will be available Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:00pm
