CHEROKEE REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER OPENS FOOT AND ANKLE CLINIC
Dr. Emily Anzmann, DPM, to start seeing patients on November 18, 2019

Cherokee Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Emily Anzmann, DPM, has joined the medical staff at CRMC. She will start seeing patients in the new CRMC Foot and Ankle Clinic beginning on November 18, 2019.

Dr. Anzmann received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from the Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended Medical School at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine where she received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree. Dr. Anzmann went on to complete her residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Earlier this fall, she completed a fellowship in foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Anzmann will offer a full array of foot and ankle services. Her particular areas of interest include but are not limited to… primary repair of tendon tears; treatment of end stage arthritis; bunion and toe surgery as well as alleviating other causes of toe pain; deformity correction; total ankle replacements; and advanced wound care.

“I offer both surgical and non-surgical care,” says Dr. Anzmann. “Although surgical correction is almost always an option, I don’t believe it is always the best option. My goal is to treat my patients in the most efficient method to alleviate their pain and get them back to their normal lives as quickly as possible.”

Dr. Anzmann recently relocated to the area and is looking forward to practicing and getting to know the residents of Cherokee and the surrounding communities.

“When I came to Iowa to begin my fellowship, I fell in love with the open spaces and friendly people. I quickly realized that I wanted to stay in Iowa,” states Dr. Anzmann. “Upon visiting CRMC, I was impressed with the modern facilities, diagnostic imagining capabilities, and the welcoming staff. I knew this is where I wanted to build and grow my practice.”

Gary Jordan, CEO/ President of Cherokee Regional Medical Center is excited for the opening of the new CRMC Foot and Ankle Clinic under Dr. Anzmann’s care.

“Dr. Anzmann will be a great compliment to the rest of our medical staff and a tremendous asset to our organization. We look forward to helping Dr. Anzmann build her practice at the CRMC Foot and Ankle Clinic, and watching her become well established within the community while providing high quality foot and ankle care to the patients we serve.”

Dr. Anzmann plans on holding clinic four days a week and scheduling surgeries one day a week.

Anyone interested in learning more about Dr. Anzmann, or the services available through the new CRMC Foot and Ankle Clinic, is encouraged to call 712.225.1513 beginning November 18, 2019.
