Programs & Activities

The Wellness Center offers a wide variety of classes and programs throughout the year.

**This is a list of classes and programs offered at the Wellness Center - these classes are NOT offered all of the time. Certain classes and programs are offered at different times of the year. Call the Wellness Center if you have any questions about a specific class or program or to find out when individual classes will be offered.

8th Grade Orientation
This is required for any child going into the 8th grade that wants to go upstairs to lift weights and be on the cardio machines. They will learn the proper way to run the machines, and lift weights.
Aerobics (Back to Basics)

This is a 45 minute total body workout.  Think cardio, conditioning, plyometrics, and more!  Burn calories and have a great time doing it!

Aqua Lite

Bring your smiles! This a fun, popular class.  It is designed to increase overall fitness by incorporating cardiovascular, toning, and flexibility exercises.  Because you are working out in the water, there is less stress on the joints.  It’s a great class for everyone!

Boot Camp (Crunch Time)

This class starts out with a 5 min. warm-up, which will prepare the body for an intense workout. We will then go full throttle with workouts that include calisthenics, running drills, agility ladder, jump ropes, stairs, kettle bells, and lots of core work. Some strength exercise will also be done, including push-up and plank combos.  

Circuit Strength

Take a half hour to complete this circuit on the weight machines.  30 seconds at each weight machine before you’re on to the next!  It’s quick, but challenging—perfect for anyone who is on the go!

Extreme Boot Camp (Extreme Mudder)

Bring your energy, and get ready to sweat!  You’ll be doing circuits, climbing stairs, running line drills, and much, much, more.  Prepare to be punished, but reap the rewards in toned muscles and a super-strong core.

Golden Girls

Like Circuit Strength, this is a circuit on the weight lifting machines, with power walking intervals.  Designed with the older gal in mind, this class offers a fun environment with professional staff on hand to help you!

IFG Lite Aerobics

This is a low-intensity 30-minute class that utilizes all of the muscles in your body.  Chairs, and light hands weights may be used.  

Tai Chi
An exercise system that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve balance and relaxation of the body and mind.
Water Boot Camp

This class takes place in the water, but has a higher level of intensity than Aqua Lite but with the same fun atmosphere.  This quick half-hour class promises you a workout that will leave you feeling refreshed and toned!

Special Athletic Program
Athletic Republic Acceleration Program
The Athletic Republic Acceleration Sports Training program (formerly known as Frappier Acceleration) is an 8-10 week program that consists of intense physcial activity including, but not limited to: treadmill training, plyometrics and weight training.

This program is ideal for anyone looking to improve their athletic performance by increasing their overall speed, agility, foot speed, power and coordination.
