NUTRITIONAL

The Dietary Department provides well-balanced meals to the patients of Cherokee Regional Medical Center. A registered, licensed dietician conducts nutritional assessments and provides education to hospital patients. The Dietary department also provides food for hospital employees and visitors in the CRMC dining room and caters numerous functions within the facility.

The CRMC Dietary department also provides nutritional services through the Heat and Eat program and Mobile Meals.

HEAT AND EAT MEALS:
The Heat & Eat Program serves nutritious meals that may be refrigerated or frozen and heated in your home at your convenience. A variety of general or low-sodium meals are available. All meals can be used on low-fat, diabetic or weight reduction diets at various calorie levels as well. Meals are $2.50 each, and are payable at the time of pick-up.

MOBILE MEALS:
Cherokee Regional Medical Center Mobile Meals program is designed to help residents receive a healthy, nutritious meal each weekday, while staying at home. Community volunteers deliver the meals right to your door at a minimal cost.

Volunteers are always needed to deliver these meals to the elderly and shut-in. If you are interested in volunteering your time, please contact Kathy at 712-225-3368 ext. 142. Individuals who make deliveries, get a free meal in the CRMC cafeteria in appreciation of their help.
