AUXILIARY
The Cherokee Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is a concerned group of volunteers who enjoy contributing many extras to make the local hospital special. Regular meetings are held during the noon hour on the 2nd Friday of every month in the Education Room (next to the cafeteria).
They have a long time tradition of providing heart-warming gifts for patient services. Each newborn baby is presented with a hand-made cap before leaving the hospital. Other special projects include providing cable T.V. in each of the patient rooms and a comprehensive newborn care book for all new mothers delivering at CRMC.
Currently, the CRMC Auxiliary conducts 2 major fundraising events - the May Coffee & Bake Sale and the December Sweet Affair.
The famous CRMC Quilters meet in room 214 at the hospital every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:00 to 11:00. This team of quilters provides hand-quilting services to the public. Over the past several years, the Quilters have donated money towards new equipment including a recumbent bike for the Physical Medicine department. Area quilters are always welcome and can contact Lee Gary at 225-5320 for additional information.
Auxiliary memberships can be purchased for by contacting Marilyn Brown, 5313 O Avenue, Cherokee, Iowa 51012 or by calling 225-4785.
